The house, originally dated 1860, has been recently entirely restructured on a very high standard. It is set on two leaving floors and a basement.
On the ground floor there is the entrance, one bathroom, an open plan kitchen and a dining area opening into a beautiful conservatory.
On the top floor there is the master bedroom with the main bathroom and a further connected small bedroom leading to a balcony and the external wooden staircase. Both floors including conservatory are equipped with air conditioning and underfloor heating.
On the basement level there is a further bathroom, service room, laundry and a large storage space.
This cottage is idea for a couple, a small family or someone that need to smart work in a peaceful and calm environment.
For children under 3 years we can freely provide 1 cot bed.
Please inform us if you will travel with your well educated four legged friends.
The house is surrounded by 7 hectares of private and totally fenced park and in less than 30 minutes by car you can reach Fiera Milano, Como or Varese, in just about 40 minutes you can reach Milano’s city centre.
The train station is 5 minutes on foot and with the new A26- Pedemontana Lombarda you can reach Malpensa airport with a 20 minutes drive.
Due to the latest developments in health and safety measures, in order to organise at best your stay and make sure that we comply to all cleaning measures we can offer our property for a minimum of 3 nights. Summary: This accommodation called the Rocollo is really a lovely house on a great location. We stayed in a lot of holiday leds in the past years but this one got on top of our list. The interior is modern and complete and outside you have lots of space to walk the grounds listening to the birds singing. We love to get back here in the near future.

Summary: The Roccolo cottage has set our vacationing standards so high, that it will be very hard to find something that match it. The house is located in the middle of a huge park where small animals like rabbits and hedgehogs reveal to you from time to time. Italian Cypress trees, lavender borders and olive trees surround the house and its terrace. The house, according to what we’ve read, it’s more than a century old and went through renovation after 2010. It’s been refurbished with flawless taste and to the highest standards of the modern life. We found it perfect for a family of three in great need to get away from the stressful city life. The location is very convenient if you want to go by car or by train to Como, Bellagio, and all the other touristic attractions in the area. Fabio and Isabella are wonderful hosts, very easy to communicate with, and providing all the advice you need for going around and about Lake Como. We really hope to be back soon!

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The location was perfect for day trips to all the lakes and beyond. The gardens are amazing and the peace and quiet the ideal tonic for anyone with a hectic work environment. The cottage itself is one of a kind. Everything is of the highest quality, new and modern and beautifully laid out. Truly a home away from home. We were provided fantastic recommendations for eating out or in and the organization of the owners was top drawer. I cannot recommend this stay highly enough. From the moment of our welcome when we arrived, to the food and goodies for breakfast and the superb accommodation: all made our vacation a true pleasure. Thank you so very much!

Summary: We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute of it. The house is extremely well presented and is set in beautiful grounds. We found the location very easy to get to Milan, Como and Varese, by car or train. The train station is only a few minutes walk away. There’s also a LIDL and Carrefour supermarket very close by, which was very handy. Isabella was on hand to greet us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was a problem. Summary: Well, we don’t think there is enough space to write down how much we enjoyed our stay. The second you pass that iron-work black gate you are transported to a dream. The view is spectacular … Isabella and Fabio offered a warm and very supportive welcome and made certain, we had absolutely everything we needed for our stay, including a filled fridge. The tasteful interior decoration of the Rocolo makes you feel you are in a 5 star hotel plus everything you would need for a perfect meal in the kitchen. Most of the time we spent outside, sitting in those deck-chairs enjoying the silence, sunrise with a cup of coffee and every meal, congratulated ourselves on finding such a special place, so different form a hotel room. We stayed 4 nights together with our dog and highly recommend the Rocolo and promise, you will feel the same way too. Look no further - counting the days we can return. Tina, Stefan &Lizzy

Summary: Our family of 3 stayed for three nights here and absolutely loved it. The house is perfect for a family with 1 or 2 small kids. We found the online pictures to be accurate of the house, and in many ways the home itself - and the setting - is even more beautiful than the pictures show. All the equipment and furnishings in the home are very modern and new, which is great. And the setting in what is essentially a large green space could not be better for small kids - there is ample room to play outside for hours. We found the location to be perfect as we were visiting the lakes and Milan. From the door of the house to Lake Maggiore it is less than 1 hour and from the door to central Milan it's about 45 minutes (short walk to the train station and ~35 minute train ride). Would definitely stay here again.

Summary: We stayed 2 weeks in the Roccolo in Carbonate and definitely enjoyed it. The house is completely new and clean, very well equiped (you have everything just like at home!) with a gigantic garden, great for kids. The house is ideally located - 30min from Come, any lakes easily accessible plus the train station for Milano (30min as well) and very silent. Fabio & Isabella do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and are always of good help when it comes to get some piece of advice. I definitely recommend!!

Summary: When we planned our visit to Italy to see the “Nonni” we said "we are not going to stay in an hotel this time", and we started to look online. When we found “il roccolo”, the images were so amazing we could not have asked for more. In the end, with Isabella and Fabio's suggestion we stayed in the “east wing”, better suited for a family of 4, and it was incredible. The place is better than the photos, and we could not have asked for more, Amazing! We even stayed an extra day - Perfect location for day trips to Como, Milano, Lago Maggiore, Lugano, etc. Wonderful space, decor, gardens, internet connection, air conditioning (we are coming from the USA after all), FIVE STARS all around “Se torniamo in Italia a Natale, speriamo sia disponibile"

Summary: This was one of the best rentals we ever had, and we do a lot of them. The large park-like terrain offers a high level of calm space, is very-well maintained and the owners have even a golf driving range (max. 7 iron) that guests can use too. The house is perfect for a couple with a max. of 2 smaller kids. The rather steep inside staircase might be a bit of a challenge for a small child. The layout is very cozy and the equipment stylish and very modern. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and even basic needs like coffee, pasta, oil, vinegar, spices, etc. are provided. The area as such does not provide much of pleasure but the nearby park area, the Pinetina Golf Club and numerous good restaurants are good distractions. A very big asset of this location is the fact that the local train station is just a few minutes walk away from the house. Within 20 min. one is in Varese and 40 min. bring you to downtown Milano without any hassle. Also Como and its beautiful lake are within 50 min. reach by car. The owners are a most charming couple, very discrete and at the same time very helpful and eager to make your stay perfectly pleasant. We usually do not return to the same place twice but this house might well break that rule. An absolutely recommendable choice!
